SLANDERCAT has just released his debut EP, "BLOOD OF A BROOM TREE" and it's available for free on BANDCAMP.

Each song is a little different, but they're all in the vein of experimental electronics but with melody and structure, so it doesn't sound like a nerd fell asleep on his Korg.

This a-hole inventor programed a computer to compose classical music on its own using algorithms and...never mind...i don't really understand this techno stuff.

A computer program is writing great, original works of classical music. Will human composers soon be obsolete?

Crap!!

I've had mixed feeling over electronic music, but this goes too far. You will read this and think "oh, isn't that cute and interesting," but seriously this could have a major effect on the lives of professional song writers.

Think about it. If this program can make classical music, think of what it could do with pop songs or punk or blues or any music form based off of a relatively simple systematic structure. This man just might kill art.

Usually I'm the first one to say "fuck that electronic bullshit" or "remix? remix my dick!" 

I'm that guy. Electronic music is a hard sell with me, always has been. I hate bands like WASHED OUT and the legion of bands who want to be that dude (what kind of name is Ernest, anyways? A dumb fucking stupid name.) 

JADED HIPSTER CHOIR is not part of that group of wannabes. Two people, from what I understand, named THOMAS AND FRANNY, tweaking songs into twitchy pop gems. 

"DON'T STOP THE PARTY ON MY ACCOUNT" is mellow, but there is enough going on to keep your attention. Warm synth waves and a crunchy beat drive this song in a loopy, yet straight path.

They describe themselves as "chillwave", but fuck all that Carles speak. This is solid, lo-fi electronic pop that would make those weird dudes in AIR smile.

Hear Hums is an electronic psychedelic crew hailing from West Palm Beach, F-L-A. The songs on NOTIONS SHIFT AT TRYPTAMINE BAY remind me of getting up at 3am, jumping in my car and driving 12 hours, straight through to Virginia. The vibe of these songs is the same vibe of interstate lights on a cold February morning. I know that's all mushy and shit, but it's true. If music can capture a mood like that, then the people producing it are on the right track in my book.

These guys are playing TOTAL BUMMER, if you don't already have a million reasons to be there.
