I'm not a big fan of Elvis Presley. I can appreciate his songs and I don't hate them, but I've never thought he was as great as he's made out to be.
To a lot of rock n' roll musicians, Elvis Presley is the shit. He's the king. Whatever.
John Waters is MY Elvis Presley. To me, Mr. Waters had more to do with revolutionizing rock n' roll as a lifestyle and an attitude than any artist in the past 40 years or so.
That being said, John has a new book coming out called ROLE MODELS and recently did an interview with NPR's Terry Gross.
