acoqui

ACOQUI is Alberto Hernandez, one half of avant popsters VIERNES.

This is one dreamy, floaty, cerebral piece and apparently he considers it just "an idea".

Could've fooled me.

commander keen

This guy might be more punk than all of us.

swimsuit

SWIMSUIT is a project from songwriter extraordinaire Fred Thomas (formerly of Saturday Looks Good To Me, etc) and is along the same lines of his previous work, but with a more bouncy punk vibe.

We're on Facebook, so go like us!

kobanes

If you don't like pop punk then you're probably just a fucking asshole.

This means you should like this album from the KOBANES.

Solid 90's style pop punk, similar to NERF HERDER.

the rodeo idiot engine

You won't see GORILLA VS BEAR posting this shit or ALTERED ZONES, nope.

But we post it. You know why? Because we've got a set of heavy ass nuts.

THE RODEO IDIOT ENGINE is a brutal, grinding, hardcore explosion from FRANCE.

Also, they're on a label called THROATRUINER RECORDS. Now THAT is some serious shit.

glaaaaam

(there's a dumbass intro on this one, but the song rules)

mommy

Kind of a weird name, not much info on this one, but the tunes MOMMY has up speak for themselves.

Great 4am interstate driving music.

the pharmacy - weekend

FUCK. This record is SO GOOD.

Came out some time ago, but never saw it get much press. Go buy it, seriously.

norma desmond

Poorly recorded, sloppy, and all over the place. You're gonna like it.

NORMA DESMOND just wants to have some fun.

sugarglider

Here's some bouncy, soft bedroom pop for you by way of Edmonton's SUGARGLIDER.

bad sounds

BAD SOUNDS mixes current pop vibes with some Tropicalia spice and a lot of Elephant 6 love.

A lot of sharp instrumentation going on here, so listen hard.

(MC)²

(MC)² is Michael Collins, formerly of the band PRINCE RAMA. Here's a live video of him playing in Detroit City recently.

Michael rules.

family of love

Crazy as fuck, "bad boy" pop wonders Dom will be releasing an alternate version of their highly anticipated "FAMILY OF LOVE" EP through Australian label MODULAR PEOPLE.

The Modular release is said to be a less polished mix and sound which is more true to what the band was going for on the 5 song follow up to last years killer "SUN BRONZED GREEK GODS".

The more "polished" sounding version of "FAMILY OF LOVE" is being released in the US by ASTRALWERKS on August 9th.
