Thee Squids was a band in Richmond, VA back in the 90's but no longer is active. According to the tunes on their myskizz page, they kicked major fucking nuts. I don't really know a whole ton about these guys. The only info on their page is "1991-1997". Maybe I'll get a hold of 'em. These guys would make Screamin' Lord Sutch mad proud. Beasts Of England is another Mass. band and these guys are slinging out slabs of creepin', oozy, dark alley punk rock n' roll. I highly recommend these guys. One of the best things I've heard in a while.

A Serious Man ///
The latest Coen brothers film is now out on DVD, Blu-Ray, etc. I figured I should give it a shout out because it slipped under the mainstream radar. I enjoyed the movie a lot. There really isn't much of a plot like a lot of their other films. And certainly the end doesn't tie everything--or anything--into a nice little bow. But this is why we love the Coen brothers. They have the immaculate ability to depict the human struggle through a motley cast of characters and their latest film achieves this with perfection.
